Private Lessons

Private lessons allow you to get the most out of your time spent learning. You (or you and a partner) will work one-on-one in a relaxed atmosphere at your own pace.  

Why take private lessons?

• Supplement your group class learning. Group classes are a great way to get introduced to a variety of dance styles, socialise and practice and prefect your floor craft. Groups are taught to move at the pace of the class, which often leaves several students behind, confused and quitting. They are meant to be followed up with privates or you will soon look like a group class only dancer. That is, lack of technique, frame, connection and all the stuff that happens above the feet.
• Individual attention focused on your learning needs
• Improve your technique and prevent bad habits
• Your Work schedule means you can't make the advertised group course dates and times
• You are learning to dance for your wedding. If possible I like students to do one of my beginner Survival dance courses in addition to a few private sessions as the group class exposes you to a variety of dance styles and music, which often sparks ideas for your first dance.
• You want to do a medal exam or compete

I am available for private tuition from Tuesday-Saturday in Rondebosch. You may take private lessons as a single, couple or form your own group of friends/family. NB: If you would like to form your own group, please indicate the number of people when contacting me.

International Ballroom (Standard) - waltz, quickstep, viennese waltz, tango, slow foxtrot.

International Latin – samba, cha cha, rumba, paso doble, jive.

Social Dances – social foxtrot, square rumba, swing, rock 'n roll, boogie, salsa, mambo.
